Jill Niswonger, MA, MS, IMFT
Relationships are the very thing that can makes us feel amazing, and the exact thing that can tear us apart. Observing the ups and downs of my own relationships as well as my friends and family, I was draw to learn more. I am a mom, a daughter, a sister, a partner, and a friend. Those relationships taught me about connection and attachment. Finding out about the systems based view of Marriage and Family therapy, I knew I found my place. My undergraduate in Microbiology and Master's in Public Health fit perfectly in understanding the human system and relationships we live in.
Working Together
Relationship counseling is allows for seeing and hearing true and authentic emotions. Often these are buried under criticism, contempt, defensiveness and stonewalling or pulling away. I utilize a systemic approach to explore the issues within the context of family dynamics and relationships. We will explore your attachment style and how it may impact your relationships in both positive and negative ways.

We will explore the presenting problem collaboratively. My approach includes Attachment Counseling and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and a Trauma Informed Approach to identify the best solutions
